There are many people who feel as if this is the end of the road and that they simply have no where to turn to. The first thing you should do is go and speak to your bank manager. They might not be that happy to see you at first, but they are going to welcome the fact that you have come to speak to them. They will often allow you to restructure the way that you service your debt. Remember that they want to keep you as a customer of the bank because this is more profitable for them. They do not want to incur your debt nor do they want to see you file bankruptcy and become an unattainable loan for them to offer.

Secondly, try to make sure that you are going to get to them in the right amount of time. There is no use in you going in just before you need money or after you have found out that you have got into a bad situation. They want to know that you are going to be in a position to pay any money back.
