Stock Market Sites to Check Out
I’ve been wondering recently if there’s any stock market software or websites out there that would make investing in the market just a little bit easier. I won’t be fooled into buying some sort of super guru program that claims to be able to predict the future and make me a millionaire! Unfortunately I already bought most of the books with that title and here I am, still looking for easier ways to buy stocks online. Needless to say, any piece of software or website that claims to be able to make you an overnight millionaire is at best, stretching the truth. I have found quite a few sites and pieces of software which have made my investing life a little bit easier though.
My favorite site is without a doubt, Google Finance. It contains everything an investor needs all on the one site. If you’re looking for the latest up to the minute stock market news then Google Finance has this along with detailed information on stocks covering all the major markets. You can look at an individual stocks performance over the past ten years or so and decide if it’s something you’d like to invest in. Yahoo Finance covers much of the same ground and if you already have a Yahoo account you may prefer to use this as it’s easily integrated. I prefer the interface on Google Finance so it’s the winner for me.
I also spent a great deal of time on the Motley Fool website which has many of the same tools as Google Finance. The thing I love about Motley Fool is the amazing community they have on there who have helped me out numerous times. If theres any particular stock market terminology you’re having difficulty understanding then post your question on there and someone will get back to you. They really are such a helpful bunch. Even if you want more details on different types of investing such as currency option trading, you’ll find a section on there who can give you the advice you’ll need to get started.
