Day trading penny stocks can be a very profitable yet risky way to trade. The allure of buying something for a penny then watching it sky rocket are the things an investor dreams of. But the successful investor goes into trading with a plan. This is something you must first develop before buying penny stocks.
First find penny stocks that are in a sector you work in or have an interest in. Perhaps you’re in the food service industry and notice a new supplier. Do a little digging. Maybe this is an up and coming company. Ask around and research this company. You might be on to something. Maybe you notice a local companies parking lot is full on the weekend. Did they suddenly add shifts or workers? If so whatever they are producing seems to be in great demand. Become a bit of a stock detective. By doing research like this, you will be far ahead of the general public and have an edge on the big boys on Wall Street.
Second, subscribe to a few online newsletters. You don’t have to rush out buying the first stock they recommend in fear of missing a great stock. Read their newsletter. Get a feel for their picks. They should have a record of past performance so you can see how they have done with their past picks. You can try to get a back issue or many offer free trial subscriptions. Sign up for about 3 or 4 at a time so you don’t get overwhelmed with information over load. Take your time to educate yourself. Only fools rush in.
Find online stock trading simulation. These are usually free and will give you a taste of what it will feel like trading. You will not be plying with real money. These online companies will give you virtual money to play with. Invest as if it was real money. It won’t teach you anything if you play the game throwing around thousands of dollar when you know you will be starting with a much smaller stake. The key is to be honest with yourself as you invest with this monopoly to start training yourself to trade.
Approach this like a business, not a weekend in Vegas. Learn about the markets, be disciplined and have a plan. Do this will help your success in penny stock trading.
